As a not-for-profit organization, Quepos Ministries Inc. is dedicated to making a positive impact in Quepos, Costa Rica. Our mission is to provide shelter, food, clothing, basic necessities, training, and a gospel centered recovery for men seeking sobriety.
Through various initiatives and programs, we strive to empower individuals and families, promote education and wellness, and foster a sense of unity and diversity. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to thrive and our goal is to create a community where everyone can reach their full potential.

Casa De Amor
Casa De Amor Program Graduation
When men graduate Casa De Amor's, the men's generation program in Quepos we support, we celebrate with certificates and prayer as a community. The men are then baptized that upcoming Sunday.
Baptisms
When men graduate the drug regeneration progam, they are given the opporunity to get baptized. Then men are baptized at Horizon Church in Jaco, or in the ocean at beach church.
Born Again
We believe sobriety is a bi-product being born again and being connected to Jesus. When men put their faith in Christ and they are given His Spirit, they are a new creation in Him.
About Us
Quepos Ministries Inc. was birthed from a past relationship and God's spirit moving to continue His work in Quepos, Costa Rica. Jimmy and his Wife Vanessa (below) have been serving men in Quepos since 2005, working relentlessly to help men, and women come to saving faith in Christ. Jimmy has served as the program director of Casa De Amor, the mens drug regeneration program and I have known him since 2008. We stayed in touch over the years, and after Covid, our communication increased from once every 4-6 months to daily. He needed help and God began to move our hearts in the direction of forming this ministry to help bridge the gap that had grown increasingly large over the years. After a handful of trips and meetings we've moved the men into a new location and fully fund the program.
Opportunties
Training
We're able to help pay for men like Derek above to continue their education online using the laptops we provided. Younger men re-enroll back in college, take courses online to get licensing to work, and many men are taking advantage of the opportunity to become addiction counselors.
Parrita Youth
Our first trip to Jimmy's neighborhood in Parrita was a memorable one. As soon as we arrived the kids rushed their car yelling neighbor. Soon after their small home was flooded with a dozen kids. As our funding allows, we provide extra food, school supplies, clothing, and toys to bless these precious kids and support an obvious growing ministry in this small neighborhood.
Volunteers
Trust us when we say that anyone wanting to come and serve at Casa De Amor is welcome. Whether it's sharing the gospel, helping restore the building, bringing food or clothes, or teaching the men English, you can contact us to get involved in any capacity.
